once upon a time there was a dragon named Eddie. He was very lonely, all day Eddie would watch animals spend time together. Eddie knew the reason everyone avoided him, he just couldn't bear to think about it. all the animals of the forest were worried he would hurt him, after all hes really big, so they stayed away.

One morning Eddie decided to travel to the wise badgers house for some advice, so he packed his things for the journey. as he was leaving lily the fox made her way to Eddie. she wasn't scared of Eddie, she was the only company he had. "hey Eddie!" lily said with a warm smile " where are you going?". " I'm headed to the wise badger's house for advice, you wanna come?" she nodded as they walked down the path.

Eddie and lily traveled for many days, their feet were sore and full of blisters. coming into a clearing, Eddie squinted his eyes and saw a small little cottage. The cottage roof was made entirely of hay and had brick walls. They cautiously made their way towards the cottage and knocked on the wood door. they heard footsteps approach the door, suddenly the door was ajar as a warm smile greeted them.

the wise badger was a kind, old animal whose smile greeted them warmly. "well don't just stand there come in, come in" she said as she proceeded inside the cottage. Lily and Eddie exchanged glances as they sat onto the dusty sofas. the wise fairy sat down and said" well...why have you come?", her voice suddenly sounded stern. " um..." Eddie said as he shifted uncomfortably" i was wondering if you could help me out, I wanna be a different, everyone's scared of dragons" Eddie burst out! Lily looked shocked, she had no idea that this was why they were heading here. " but Eddie! your dragon!" she cried.

Eddie tried to explain " listen lily, everyone's scared of me, because i am a dragon, this could get me some friends!" the wise badger stood there calmly while they fought. " im your friend!" lily exclaimed as she looked at the badger for help. " shes right Eddie, you know its not the outside that matters, its the inside that counts" the badger said warmly. Eddie broke the silence " im...im sorry Lily, lets go home. full of happy thoughts,they hugged as they made their way out the door back to the forest. MORAL: never ever doubt yourself, it's the inside that counts.
