The Water Droplet

Drippy lived in a beautiful pond with his other water droplet friends. He loved his home, but he had a dream of seeing the world beyond his pond!

One morning, the sun was shining brightly in the sky. Drippy felt the warm sunlight on the pond. "What a beautiful warm day!" he said.

As the sun warmed the bond, Drippy began to change! He was turning into water vapor! "What's happening to me?" Drippy wondered.

Drippy floated higher and higher into the sky as water vapor, in a process called evaporation. "Wow! I can see everything from up here!" Drippy exclaimed.

The higher Drippy traveled, the cooler the air became. Soon, he began to change again. This time, back into a tiny water droplet. "Brrr! It's cold up here!" said Drippy.

Drippy found many other water droplets up there, and they formed a cloud. This process is called condensation. "Look at all my new friends! Drippy said.

Then, the wind pushed Drippy's cloud across the sky. He floated over mountains, forests, and rivers. "The world is so big!" Drippy shouted.

More and more tiny water droplets joined Drippy's cloud. So many droplets joined that they started to bump into each other and formed one big droplet. "I think there are too many of us," Drippy said.

Suddenly, Drippy began to fall towards Earth, in a process called precipitation. When water falls from clouds as rain, snow, sleet, or hail. "Wheee!" Drippy shouted as he fell through the sky.

SPLASH! Drippy landed on a bright green leaf. He slowly rolled down the leaf and onto the ground. "That was quite an adventure!" Drippy exclaimed.

Drippy joined the other fallen raindrops across the ground. Together, they traveled into a small stream. "Where are we going now?" Drippy asked.

The stream carried Drippy into a flowing river. He passed rocks, trees, and animals along the way. "This is the best adventure ever!" Drippy cheered.

After a long journey, Drippy finally reached a familiar pond. "I'm home!" he shouted. Water gathering in ponds, lakes, rivers, and oceans is called collection.

The next morning, the sun began shining over the pond. Drippy felt the water getting warmer. "I think another adventure is about to begin!" he said.

Drippy learned that water travels in a never-ending cycle. Water evaporates, condenses into clouds, falls as precipitation, and collects on Earth. "The water cycle never stops!" Drippy exclaimed.
