Hunger or War
Zoe was a little girl that had to deal with a lot of stuff. Zoe was visiting her mom at work. Zoe's mom was a successful doctor that was named Dr. Maya. Zoe's mom was working when "BOOM!" then silenced , then "CRACK!" There was a violence outbreak. Everybody started to panic, Zoe tried to get her mom to safety but her mom did not listen, her mom kept working, trying to save her youngest patient, but then "BANG!" blood started bleeding from her shoulder.
As her mom fell to the floor, Zoe looked horrified at the sight. Zoe tried to run to her mom but too many people were panicking and running. Zoe cried as the river of people pulled closer and closer to the emergency exit. When Zoe was outside she cried until there was nothing to cry left, she looked at her siblings thinking of her mom. Zoe remembered her mom's words, "Take care of your siblings if I'm gone, my dear." Zoe got up and gently grabbed her sister and her brother's hands and started walking, walking to Keyna.
Everybody thought that Kenya was gonna be an easy walk. it wasn't that easy, Zoe and her siblings felt tired, s they went to a safe place and fell asleep, but then after a few hours, Zoe woke up to her sibling crying, When Zoe looked around she saw none of the travel group, they had left them to rot. After getting separated from their travel group, a young girl named Zoe found herself completely lost in an unfamiliar territory alongside her younger siblings. Their ultimate goal was to reach safety across the border in Kenya.
As darkness fell, Zoe found a small cluster of acacia trees to shield her siblings from the bitter night chill. She carefully rationed their last drops of water, giving each of them just enough to soothe their dry throats. Distant wildlife calls echoed through the plains, forcing her to swallow her fear and whisper comforting promises about reaching Kenya. Huddled together for warmth, she kept watch through the pitch-black hours, refusing to close her eyes. When the first light of dawn broke, she gently woke her family, determined to conquer the grueling terrain ahead.
The scorching morning sun left Zoe and her siblings exhausted and completely out of water. Luckily, a local travel herder spotted them, shared his water, and pointed them toward a safe path. With renewed hope, the children eagerly pressed onward through the dusty terrain. By late afternoon, the official Kenyan border gates finally came into view. Their perilous journey was finally over as they stepped across the line to safety.
Once across the border, Zoe and her siblings were welcomed by a community center in Kenya. They finally received hot meals, clean clothes, and a safe place to rest. Within a week, local aid workers successfully tracked down their anxious relatives. The family wept tears of joy during their emotional and long-awaited reunion. Looking at her siblings, Zoe felt incredibly proud of the bravery that brought them all home.
But their happiness didn't last long. One day, a constructor came in and said, "I'm sorry to have to tell you this since you're so... young, you're going to have to leave, the government is shutting down for 4 years. As Zoe heard those words, her heart broke, should could not hear anything, not hear siblings crying, not even the words the constructor was saying, she was too shocked, she couldn't.
As Zoe and her siblings left the camp, they came across another group that was the same tribe as them, they ran quick to join them. As they took a break, they spotted someone that looked like them, they came over and remembered him quickly, "DAD?!" Zoe said loudly. Their dad turned around and said "Z-Zoe? M-Maya?" Zoe hadn't seen her dad in 9 years, she thought he had been killed. They all ran to each other and gave each other the biggest hug they could perform.
When they were walking, the whole group saw 2 dead cows near a pond of clear water. The whole group ran to the spot where they spotted everything and set up everything to cook the 2 cows and drink the water. They cooked everything and there was a lot more for seconds for everyone.
As the whole group finished the 2 cows and were satisfied about what they had. they sat around talking happily. Zoe looked up at her dad and also did Maya and said, "Dad I'm happy you're here." Their dad looked down at them and said, " I'm happy I'm here too." Then they hugged. THE END!
