The Great Lake Adventure

The sun was shining brightly as Leo packed his backpack for the ultimate summer camping trip down by Crystal Lake.

The hiking trail grew steeper, but Leo kept marching forward beneath the tall pine trees, ready for whatever adventure waited ahead.

Suddenly, the trail split into two different directions. One path led toward the roaring river, while the other wound up the rocky hill.

Deciding that higher ground would give him a better view of the lake, Leo chose the rocky hill and started climbing upward.

When he reached the top, he pulled out his map and spotted the sparkling blue waters of Crystal Lake gleaming just over the tree line.

Just as he started heading down toward the shore, dark gray storm clouds rolled in overhead, and a sudden rumble of thunder echoed through the valley.

Hurrying through the wind, Leo spotted an old wooden ranger cabin and dashed inside just as the summer rain began to pour.

While waiting out the storm, he dried off, drank some warm water, and listened to the soothing rhythm of the rain hitting the roof.

As quickly as it had arrived, the storm cleared away, leaving behind a magnificent, colorful rainbow stretching right across the sky.

Leo finally reached the shores of Crystal Lake, realizing that the unexpected twists made his summer adventure unforgettable. The End.
