Playground Trouble
Suzie the squirrel and Alissa the fox are playing outside for recess. Suzie wants to ask Alissa to play, but she is nervous. Suzie builds up the courage and asks her to play on the slide.
Alissa says yes to Suzie! They are having a fun time, laughing and playing on the slide. They are becoming good friends!
Suddenly, Alissa said that your hat made you look stupid. Alissa thought it was a funny joke. Suzie was very upset by Alissa's comment and started to cry.
Suzie grabs her hat and asks Alissa the fox if they want to play ball. Alissa takes the ball and says, "No."
Alissa the fox leaves; Suzie the squirrel is sad. Suzie just wanted to play.
Suzie felt down about how she was being treated. So she decided to do some other things that make her happy.
Suzie dug through the trees looking for nuts. She found the Jackpot!
Suzie's friends noticed she was sad and came over. They asked what was wrong. Suzie said she wanted to play with Alissa the fox, but Alissa made fun of her.
Suzie's friends, George the porcupine and Ben the bunny, comforted Suzie and gave her hugs. Suzie was confused why Alissa said such a mean thing.
Suzie's friends invited her to play catch with them. This put a smile on Suzie's face!
After playing catch, they all sat down in the sand pit to make a castle. Suzie was happy she found friends to play with!
Alissa sees Suzie and her friends playing together. Alissa feels left out and understands how Suzie feels.
Alissa was sad because she couldn't play with Suzie and her friends. Alissa knew she was in the wrong. She regretted being mean to Suzie.
Alissa felt left out and wished she could play with the others. Alissa didn't know what to do.
Alissa went to Mr.Who and told him about her problem. Mr.Who told Alissa to apologize to Suzie and tell her you understand it's not okay to bully.
Alissa went up to Suzie and apologized for calling her hat stupid. Alissa told her she felt left out. So she asked if she could go play on the swings with her.
Alissa was happy that Suzie forgave her and wanted to play! But Alissa wanted Suzie's other friends, George the porcupine and Ben the bunny, to join them.
Suzie asked Alissa what was wrong. Alissa said, " I want Ben and George to play with us too." Alissa didn't want them to feel left out, too.
Suzie asked Alissa to push her on the swing, and then she would ask Ben and George to come over. Alissa agreed!
Alissa started to push Suzie on the swing! They smiled ear to ear with joy.
They made their way through the playground, swinging and sliding. They became friends.
They all play catch in a circle. Then Suzie asks, " Do you guys want me to pick some apples?" Everyone replied happily with " Yes!"
At the end of their play, they all sat under the big oak tree. They ate the nuts Suzie dug up and fresh apples she picked.
Alissa the fox asked Suzie if they could play tomorrow. Suzie said yes! They walked home together as friends.
