August 12, 2003 Alaa and Roa'a were both walking to get water then something they would have never thought would happen happend.

Gunshots were fired everywhere,everyone ran in different directions along with Alaa and Roa'a

people were set into groups walking to find safety and continuing this unfortunate event

in Roa'a and Alaa group they traveld through broken Darfur making it to a refugee camp

the group makes it to the refugee camp

Armed men came into the camp causing chaos and Alaa and Roa'a to be seperated

As Roa'a is now onto Kenya for her safety she later at age 15 finds out that Alaa died at age 15

Months past and now Roa'a is still walking to reach Kenya wishing Alaa could be with her

On June 20, 2019 Roa'a's group makes it to Kenya

Months later Roa'a was happy living in Kenya it was amazing but heard from people that helpers from America were sending lost girls and boys to America

Roa'a gets picked to go to Ilionis Chicago getting on the plane and arriving 5 hours later

As Roa'a lived life peacefully in Chicago she still missed being in Darfur and Kenya
