My Family, my values, and My Language

Hi! my name is Mia. My family is from Sinaloa, Mexico. I love my family very much. We speak Spanish, share stories, and spend time together. What is culture? Culture is the way we live and the things we learn from our family. It includes our language, food, music, and traditions.

Yummy! My family loves Mexican food. We enjoy tacos, tortillas, tamales, and delicious seafood. sometimes, we cook and eat together. Food brings us together. We share, talk, laugh, and make happy memories. These traditions are a special part of our culture.

My family teaches me to be kind, helpful, and respectful. I help water the plants, and my brother helps set the table, These are our values. Values are things that are important to us. One of our goals is to learn new things and help our family. A goal is sometimes we want to do or accomplish.

At school, i meet children from different families. Some eat different food, speak different languages, or celebrate different holidays. I tell my friends, "Culture is the way we live and the things we learn from our families." We listen, ask questions, and learn about each other. Every family is special!

'Hola!" I say to my friend. "Hola!" my friend says back. Spanish helps me talk to my family and share my feelings. Language helps us make friends, as from help, and tell stories. Some children use sign language, pictures, or gestures to communicate, too. everyone deserves to be heard!

I loved listening to grandma's stories. She tells me about or family and life in Mexico. Her stories help me learn about my culture. Speaking Spanish helps me feel close to Grandma and my family. I can be proud of my culture and learn about other cultures, too!

My friends and i are different is many wats. We may speak different languages, eat different foods, and have differents traditions. But we can all be kind, help each other, and learn togethers. I love my Sinaloa culture! I respect my friend's culture, too. Different families, different traditions, but we all deserve love and respect! The end!
