Lilly was 10, and Tyler was 12. They were always very playful kids and always respected their parents when they were younger, but the older they got, the more they stopped listening to the adults around them. Once they get to school, the teachers can't even get them to listen to simple directions.

Their parents have tried many ways to help get their kids to listen to adults but the more they tried, the more disrespectful their kids became.

Chapter 2: The teacher tries her best When the kids go to school, they have 2 different teachers. Tyler has Mrs. Brown for school and Lilly has Mr. Keyes.

Both teachers have started to notice the students' behaviors throughout the school day and have reached out the the parents.

They have discussed the the kids actions at school like when they are asked to raise their hand and speak when called on. But the kids are getting older and when other kids start to not listen to the teacher, Tyler and Lilly think it is therefore okay to also not listen.

Chapter 3: Parents say the Same thing Once Tyler and Lilly's parents arrived at school, the teachers began to inform them about the struggles that had been happening at school.

As Mr. Keyes and Mrs. Brown are explaining to the kids' parents, the parents aren't surprised that Tyler and Lilly have been acting like that.

Tyler and Lilly wait outside of the classroom to hear what their parents are going to tell them.

Chapter 4: When not Listening causes trouble Tyler and Lilly's parents bring them home and sit them down in the living room

Tyler and Lilly love watching TV but now they aren't too excited to be in the living room anymore because they are in trouble

Their parents tell them that they need to change their behavior both at school and at home because there will be punishments.

Chapter 5: The Big Wake‑Up Moment Tyler and Lilly's parents have decided to take a bigger step and to take away their technology to punish the kids for their actions.

Tyler and Lilly start to realize that they need to change their actions because they love TV.

Chapter 6: Trying something New The parents meet back up with the teachers and try to come up with a plan to help teach Tyler and Lilly.

They agreed to show the kids what it is like when people don't listen to them

At home, when the kids ask their parents for something, they are going to show them that it isn't nice to not listen

The kids are confused on why their parents aren't listening to them

At school, the teachers treat the kids the same way hoping they realize it's not nice to ignore what other people say to you, especially adults.

The kids realized that both their teachers and parents are acting the same way.

Chapter 7: Listening makes Life easier Tyler and Lilly decide to start changing their actions and try to listen to the adults in their life more.

They apologize to their parents. Their parents accept their apology and they start listening better.

At school, Tyler and Lilly apologize to Mr. Keyes and Mrs. Brown. And they promise to listen more during class and raise their hand when they want to speak.

Chapter 8: The No‑Listening Crew Turns It Around Tyler and Lilly have gotten a lot better at school and both the teachers and parents are very pleased with how respectful the kids have been and are very proud of them.
