Drippy’s Big Adventure

Once upon a time, a little water droplet named Drippy lived in a beautiful lake. Drippy loved to splash and play with his friends.

One sunny morning, Drippy looked up at the sky. “I wonder what it feels like to fly!” he said.

The sun shone brightly on the lake. Drippy began to feel warmer and warmer.

The sun shone brightly on the lake. Drippy began to feel warmer and warmer.

Suddenly, Drippy changed into invisible water vapor and rose into the air. “I'm flying!” he cheered. This is called evaporation.

High in the sky, the air was much cooler. Drippy began to cool down, too.

Drippy changed back into a tiny liquid water droplet. He joined other droplets to form a cloud. This is called condensation.

“Welcome to our cloud!” said the other droplets. Drippy was happy to make so many new friends.

More and more droplets joined the cloud. Some bumped together and became bigger. Soon, the droplets were too heavy to stay in the cloud.

“Hold on!” shouted Drippy as he fell toward the ground. Drippy was falling as rain! This is called precipitation.

SPLASH! Drippy landed on a green leaf. He slid down the leaf and fell into a little stream.

The stream carried Drippy into a rushing river. “What an amazing ride!” he laughed.

The river finally carried Drippy into a big lake. Water had collected there. This is called collection.

Drippy smiled. “I went up as vapor, formed a cloud, fell as rain, and returned to the lake!”

The sun began to shine again. Drippy realized that water keeps moving through the water cycle.

“I can't wait to do it all again!” Drippy said with a big smile. And soon, another adventure began. The end!
