God's Little Girl
A little girl who discovers the beauty of God's love through everyday experiences.
God's Little Girl
Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Zion. Zion loved playing outside, dancing, singing songs, and looking at beautiful flowers. Every morning, her mommy reminded her, "Zion, do you know how special you are? God made you; he loves you, and you are his wonderful gift." Zion smiled and said, "God loves me!"
One morning Zion woke up and saw the sunshine shining through her bedroom window. She folded her little hands and whispered, "Dear God, thank you for waking my family and me up. Thank you for my toys and another beautiful day. Amen!" Mommy smiled and said, Prayer is how we talk to God. You can talk to him anytime." It made Zion very happy to know she can pray anytime.
One evening, a loud thunderstorm came rolling through the sky. BOOM! BOOM! Zion ran to her mommy. "Mommy, I'm scared!" Mommy held her hand and said, "Remember, sweetie, God is always with us. We can pray when we feel afraid." Zion closed her eyes and whispered, "God, please help me be brave. I don't want to be scared." Soon Zion felt a little better.
The next day, Zion saw her friend Emily sitting alone. "Would you like to play with me?" Zion asked. Emily smiled. "Yes!" They played with dolls, shared their toys, and laughed together. Mommy told Zion, "When you are kind to others, you are showing God's Love." Zion learned that even little acts of kindness can make someone feel special.
Zion loves all the wonderful things God has blessed her with. She is thankful for the birds that chirp in the morning, the rainbow after the rain, and the trees that sway in the wind. "What are you thankful for today?" Mommy asked. Zion answered, "Everything! Thank you, God, for making my world so beautiful!"
God's love is everywhere. One afternoon, Zion and Mommy went for a walk. Zion noticed the bright sunshine, colorful butterflies, and fluffy clouds. "Mommy, did God make all these things?" "Yes, sweetie. God created the beautiful world around us." Zion looked up at the sky and said, Thank you, God, for making everything so wonderful!"
Zion is growing in her faith, so every night before bedtime, Zion and Mommy read a bible story together. They learned about God's love, Jesus' kindness, and helping others. Mommy reminded Zion, "As you grow, always remember to trust God, be kind, and keep praying." Zion gave Mommy a big smile. "I will, Mommy!"
The next morning, Zion noticed mommy carrying grocery bags. Mommy, can I help you?" Zion asked. Mommy smiled. "Of course, sweetheart!" Zion carefully helped put away the groceries. Then she picked up her toys and placed them in her toy basket. Mommy gave her a hug and said, "Helping others is one way we can show love." Zion smiled proudly. "I love helping! God wants us to be kind!"
That night, Zion climbed into her cozy bed. She closed her eyes, folded her hands, and said her bedtime prayer. "Dear god, thank you for loving me. Thank you for my mommy, my family, and my friends. Help me be kind, brave, and loving every day. Amen" Mommy kissed her forehead and whispered, You will always be God's precious little girl." Zion drifted off to sleep with a happy heart.
