Bullying

Brooke placed her backpack down as he walked into her new classroom. Everything felt different to her. The classrooms were bigger and everyone seemed like they had a friend to talk to. Brooke did not know anyone. She hoped to make a friend.

When it was lunch time Brooke looked around the cafeteria. She saw a group of girls siting together. "Can I sit with you?" Brooke asked? One girl shook her head. "No this table is full" Brooke saw the empty seat right beside them. She quietly walked away.

The next day, Brooke heard the same girls whispering about her. "She dresses weird" "She has no friends" Brooke just pretend that she did not hear them. Those words stayed in her head the whole day. Brooke felt lonely and sad. She wishes she could just disappear.

When Brooke got home, she put her backpack down and when straight to her room. Her dad noticed that something was wrong. "You seem sad today" her dad said. Brooke sat on her bed and told her dad about the girls at school. Her dad gave her a big hug. "I am glad you told me. Do not listen to them. You are kind, caring, and beautiful" her dad said. Brooke felt much better.

The next day at playground time, Brooke sat all by herself under her favorite tree. She noticed a girl trying to write with a broken pencil. Brooke walked over. "Do you want to borrow this?" she asked. The girl smiled. "Yes please. Thanks" Brooke was happy that she helped.

"My name is Lilly" the girl said. "I'm Brooke". Soon after the girls were drawing pictures together. The found out they both loved animals and drawing. For the first time in what seemed forever Brooke was happy. She finally had someone she could talk to.

Days later the girls who were mean to Brooke walked past her. This time she was not quiet. She was going to tell the teacher

Her Teacher Ms Sandy listened to Brooke. "Thank you for telling me" she said "Everyone deserves to feel welcomed at school"

The girls later apologized to her. "we are so sorry" said one girl. Sorry that we were mean to you" Brooke accepted their apology.

That following day. Brooke walked into school. "Would you like to sit at lunch with us today? ''Sure" she said.

They talked for an hour. Day by day they all grew closer and soon after they became best friends.
