"The Blood Circle"

Part 1: The Whisper in the Wind Kaligaon was a quiet village, surrounded by thick forests and forgotten by time. Life moved slowly—farmers in the fields, children playing, and elders sharing tales by firelight. Among the villagers was Raghu, a curious young man with a weakness for forbidden stories. One evening, he overheard an elder mumbling about the Kalimata Temple, hidden deep in the forest. “It should’ve stayed sealed,” the old man whispered. That night, driven by curiosity, Raghu slipped into the forest.

Part 2: The Temple in the Trees After hours of trekking, he found it—a ruined temple, swallowed by vines and silence. Inside, faded symbols covered the stone walls. At the center lay a bundle of black cloth, tied with red thread. Ignoring his gut, Raghu untied it. The wind stopped. From the shadows, a woman’s figure with glowing red eyes emerged. She raised her hand and touched Raghu’s forehead. He screamed, blood pouring from his nose and ears. Then silence.

Part 3: The Possession Back in the village, Raghu grew distant. His voice echoed strangely, and his eyes turned dark. He locked himself in his hut, drawing symbols in blood. The village priest visited and discovered a blood circle beneath Raghu’s cot—runes matching those from old banned scriptures. When confronted, Raghu just smiled. “She walks now,” he whispered. That night, the priest disappeared.

Part 4: She Who Walks Soon, Kaligaon began to rot. Crops died overnight. Animals vanished. Children complained of nightmares, then went silent. The air grew thick with the smell of ash. And Raghu—he changed completely. His eyes turned pitch black. His skin cracked like dry earth. He no longer walked, but hovered inside the blood circle, whispering constantly in a voice not his own. He wasn’t Raghu anymore—he was a vessel. The villagers fled. Kaligaon became a ghost village. Now, deep in the forest, the Kalimata Temple breathes again. And if you wander too close at dusk, you might hear a voice, calm and cold: “She waits for another.”
