Stage 1: Sounds (Birth to 5 Months) Babies make random noises
Stage 2: Syllables ( 6 months to 12 months) Babies start saying simple words
Stage 3: Words (12 months to 18 months) Babies say more complex words
Stage 4: Sentences (18 months to 48 months) Babies start saying 2-3 word sentences
Stage 5: Meta-linguistics (48+ months) Babies understand multiple words and sentences
