This is Lucy the little red ladybug. Lucy is bright red and the proud owner of seven spots.

Lucy lived in a lovely backyard garden filled with flowers, trees, and other insects.

But she dreamed of going on an adventure one day.

One day Lucy noticed a huge problem.

The once beautiful plants were droopy and covered in tiny little insects called aphids.

Lucy went to ask Bella the Butterfly for some advice. "The aphids are eating the plants," Bella explained. "But ladybugs love to eat aphids! Ladybugs keep plants clean and healthy."

Lucy gobbled up the aphids. She always knew that she loved munching on the little bugs, but now she knew she was helping the garden!

Munching away one aphid at a time, the garden began to look beautiful again. Lucy knew that she could really make a difference.

After her snack, Lucy decided she needed another adventure. She opened her red wing covers and fluttered her fragile wings underneath. As she flew, she spotted another ladybug! "I'm Lily," said the other lovely ladybug!

Together, Lucy and Lily, the lovely ladybug duo, decided to help make the garden even more beautiful. They crawled along stems and leaves, munching on all the aphids. Soon, the garden looked the best and brightest it had ever looked!
