The Man and The Rat

Once upon a time, there was a lonely man desperately wanting a friend.

One night while he was sitting down looking at the stars he saw something. A shooting star shot across the sky and he remembered that if you make a wish while there is a shooting star your wish will come true. "I wish I had a friend," He wished. He looked up and the star started to disappear. He thought he didn't make a wish in time.

The next morning the man woke up and was shocked to see a fat rat on his floor. He jumped up and stood on his bed. The rat looked at him confused and jumped onto the bed next to him. "How did you get in here?" The man asked not expecting an answer. "I walked through the back door." The man was shocked that the rat could talk but the rat looked like it was normal.

The man decided that he liked the rat and maybe he was finally gonna have a friend. Then the rat said" I like you too," The man was confused and said, "How do you know what I was thinking?" "I'm a mind reading rat duh," The rat answered. "I didn't know those were things, and wait did you just say you like me too?" The man asked. "Yeah." The rat answered.

"Wait I never got your name," The man said. "It's Rat," the rat answered. "What's yours?" Rat asked. "Rob." The man answered. Rat told Rob that he had a problem and that he was wondering if Rob could help him. Rob asked Rat what the problem is and Rat said that he had other rat friends that were trapped in a haunted house. Rob told him he could help so they went on their way to the haunted house.

"Here it is." Rat said. " Okay lets go save them." Rob replied. They walked into the house and saw old cabinets and dusty walls. They looked little more and found stairs going down to what looked like a cellar. They walked down the stairs and immediately got hit with a horrible stench that smelled of rat poop and mold. They were walking around looking for rats when they saw something on the ground. Rob picked it up and inspected it but could see anything because there was too much dirt on it. He brushed dirt off of the object and found out that it was a key. Rob put it in his pocket in case he needed it later.

Rat was going in the right places where Rob couldn't fit and Rob was looking up in the high places where Rat couldn't reach. Rat found a crack just big enough for a hand to reach in. He walked through the crack and found a cage full of rats. He told Rob and Rob went and dragged it out of the crack and onto the floor. Rob tried opening it but there was a lock. He remembered that he had a key so he took it out and opened the lock. Dozens of rats poured out running next to Robs feet. They ran up the stairs and out of the house while Rat and Rob followed up the stairs behind them.

They exited the house and walked to their car. They hopped in and drove home. They lived happily ever after. The End.
