My story book π
Hi! My name is Luna. I love my family! We eat together, dance to songs, and watch movies My family has special ways of doing things.
Culture is the ways we live and learn together. It can be our food, songs, words, stories, and celebrations. My family speaks Spanish and English. Sam is a close friend and likes to sit and talk with her family ! All familyβs are special
Every Sunday, me and my family go visit places . We talk and get to know the places. This is a special tradition in my family. Sam's family likes to cook in family. We have different traditions, and that is okay!
My family has a goal. We want to take care of our home! I water the plants. My brother helps set the table. A goal is something we want to do. A value is something important to us. My family values kindness, helping, and sharing.
Sam likes birthday cake. I like singing birthday songs with my family. We do things differently! Our families may have different goals and values. We can ask questions, listen, and learn. Different is wonderful!
I say, βΒ‘Hola!β to Sam. It means βHello!β in Spanish. Words help us make friends and share our feelings. Parents tells me stories in Spanish. Their stories help me feel close to my family. Some people use sign language, pictures, or gestures to communicate, too! Everyone deserves to be heard.
My family is special. Your family is special. We may speak different languages, eat different foods, and have different traditions. We can still be kind and good friends! We can listen, share, and help each other. We are different. We are special. We belong together!
