The Adventure of Mila the Curious Pup

Mila loves taking baths in her bathtub! As she splashed around in the water, she wondered, " Where else can I find water in the world?" Suddenly! She had an idea! She would go on an adventure to discover different bodies of water.

Mila packed her backpack and headed outside. She was ready to explore! She wanted to see how many different places water can be found.

First, Mila found a beautiful lake with a pier. The water looks calm and peaceful. Mila learned that a lake is a body of water surrounded by land.

Next, Mila spotted two white sailboats floating at sea. The water looks like it goes on forever! She learned that seas contain salt water and are connected to the ocean.

Brrr! Mila arrived in a cold, chilly place full of ice! She saw big icebergs floating in the water. She learned that icebergs are pieces of ice that float in water.

Soon, Mila heard water trickling over tiny rocks. She followed the sound and found a stream! A stream is a small, flowing body of water that travels across land.

Mila stopped beside a river to sit and take a break on a bench. She learned that rivers are flowing bodies of water that can travel a long way across the land.

As she went on, Mila found a rocky cove. The land curved around a small part of the sea. Mila loved watching the water splash along the rocks!

Suddenly, Mila heard a loud and rushing sound! She found a waterfall! Water rushed from up high to down low. Mila could feel the mist in the air!

After all the fun and excitement, Mila found a small, quiet pond. The pond was smaller than the lake she had visited earlier.

Mila found a small wooden boat along a gulf. A gulf is a large area of salt water that reaches into land.

Mila arrived at the wetlands, where tall grass grows near the water's edge. She learned that wetlands are places where the land always stays wet.

Suddenly, dark clouds rolled across the sky, and rain began to fall! As the rain poured down, she saw a puddle form on the ground. She learned that rain adds water to land, streams, rivers, lakes, and ponds.

Before long, the rain stopped, and the clouds began to clear. A beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky. What a great surprise after the storm!

Mila thought about all the water she had seen today: lakes, seas, streams, rivers, coves, ponds, and gulfs. Some water flowed, some stayed still, and some was fresh while others were salty. Mila had learned that water can be found in many different places!

After a long day filled with adventure, Mila returned home. She climbed into her bathtub and remembered all the special places she visited. " Who knew there were so many kinds of water?" She said. Mila closed her eyes, already dreaming of her next adventure! THE END
