Cerberus
Cerberus has three heads, six eyes, and one job, to keep the dead from leaving the underworld. All his days are spent at the gates of the underworld where he keeps the living out and the dead in. On one normal day he was guarding the gate and a visitor appeared.
Cerberus replied, “You are not allowed to enter the underworld because you are living.” Orpheus replied, “I guess I’ll just have to fight you then.” Cerberus replied, “Give it a try.”
So the fight was on and it looked as if cerberus was winning until jake channeled some inner power to use a sort of telekinesis to lift cerberus with his fingers and left him to float in the air. Cerberus yelled, “Let me down from here!” Orpheus replied, “I don’t know if I can, I can’t stop laughing.” Cerberus replied, “You are making a fool of me.”
So Orpheus made his way into the Underworld until he found the throne of hades. Hades shouted, “Why is there a living soul in my world?” Orpheus replied, “I am Orpheus, and I am here to retrieve the soul of my late wife.” Hades replied, "I’m not gonna let you.” Orpheus replied, “why would I need your approval? I already beat your guard at the gates.”
Hades said, “Then why is he right behind you.” By the time that Orpheus turned around Cerberus had already lunged at Jake and was coming for blood. Cerberus got ahold of Orpheus’s hands and bit them off. Then Cerberus ate Orpheus whole.
Some stories say that Hades put the soul to rest next to his wife, while other stories say that Hades let Cerberus put his soul on the other side of the underworld for making him look so powerless in the eyes of Hades.
