Waiting Is Hard

My name is LeRoy, and I am in third grade. I love sports, like soccer and basketball!

I have a lot of ideas to share, especially when I am excited or happy!

When I have an idea, it is hard to wait my turn sometimes. I know my brain moves too quickly. I can practice waiting, even when it's hard.

I can learn to pause and hear what the other person is saying before taking my turn. I can hold up a hand signal to show I have something to say or I can write it down.

I can remember that taking turns in talking is like passing a ball during a game. Everyone gets a chance to join in to make it successful!
